Bully was originally started in the late 80's by BMX Legend RL Osborn, along with Hammer. After a few years the BMX market was really down (the early 90's) so RL sold Bully to his distributor Custom Cycle Supply, who owns MCS. Custom changed the direction of Bully and started making Frames, bars and eventually complete BMX bikes. Today Bully is still based in Florida, but it doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves and is forced to take the back seat to MCS, which takes the back seat to the distribution business (in my opinion) Both brands, but especially Bully, have tremendous potential to be bigtme BMX companies if they were given the chance. At this point, they are at best regional brands (Florida - southeast) of a distributor. On a positive note - the products Bully does make are good quality and well designed. So check them out for sure! |
